So we scour the web daily to find the most relevant, factual Climate Change news. We take a balanced approach, focusing on specific events, reasonable predictions, and showcasing positive change. After all, if Science is expected to be factual - so should journalism! As the Science improves, we will all get more effective in slowing warming and creating sustainable policies. |

You can also login to Twitter and use the search box to search for @ManMadeClimateC to see our posts, or search for a phrase like "Climate Change", "Global Warming", or "Man Made Global Warming". There is a considerable amount of news every day on these topics; people all over the world are now working to address Climate Change - regardless of what the cause might be. The science is clear and compelling - but not yet complete. For example, while it is widely believed that Global Warming is killing Coral Reefs, there are more significant causes including pollution and over-fishing. It is also believed that Glaciers and ice fields are melting the world over - but the ice in Antarctica is growing, due to the patterns of ocean currents. Clearly, there is more to study There is some growing evidence that the rate of Climate Change will be steadier than predicted with less chance of 'runaway' warming - and yet, the large amounts of Methane stores in the Permafrost of Siberia, and even larger stores under the polar ice caps, represent considerable potential risk.
Some greenhouse gases are more short term and some are more long-term. CO2 is one of the long-term gases, meaning it can take up to 50 years for CO2 to leave the atmosphere - and that is why scientists are so concerned, as we keep dumping ton after ton of CO2 every day into the air.
Mankind has a tremendous ability to destroy ecosystems. Species extinctions, forest clear cutting, open mining, fishing species to extinction, and the terrible effects of pollution, pesticides, and herbicides are all examples of a thirst for growth that has gone terribly wrong.
But countering this are all the good people now doing research, forming solar companies, working with renewables, improving recycling, making more efficient cars, and so on - there is a lot going on and we intend to keep reporting what we learn each day about Climate Change.
